Adding and sharing data

Objects can be added to the app (imported), or shared with others apps (expored) using GPX or KML formatted files, two of the most common formats for sharing map and navigation data.

Importing objects from a website

In general, objects can be imported either by selecting a file and choosing the NZTopo50 app to open it, or from within the app by selecting the import option and then choosing a file.

The import settings allow you to choose a default icon/colour/category setting to apply to any objects that do not already have these details set in the file.
